Shape Grammars is a study on generative shapes, asking: how can unique pieces be mass produced? Jannis Maroscheck designed and programmed 12 production systems that draw an unlimited number of individual graphic shapes. The result is a systematic catalog, a kind of dictionary of shapes, for browsing forms and their formulas. Accumulating 150.000 shapes, sorted from the strictly geometric to the organically free, the book is a useful manual for Designers, Architects and everybody working with shapes, showing the nature of infinite graphic variation through automated design.

We were hired by A' Design Awards, Italy, whom sponsored us to promote this most exceptional award-winning generative. Shape Grammars exemplifies the pinnacle of excellence in generative, demonstrating exceptional creativity and innovation that naturally commanded attention. Its inherent brilliance made our promotional efforts remarkably effective – the design's outstanding qualities spoke volumes on their own, requiring only minimal exposure to gain widespread recognition.
