This seven story headquarters in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, for a long established soy sauce maker turns heritage into a distinctive facade. Anodized aluminum louvers at 300 mm pitch vary in angle to reduce southwest sun and protect privacy, while evoking a wheat field in motion. Set against deep black walls recalling fermentation, the screen creates a disciplined gradient of light and shadow and gives the street a clear identity. Inside, a central light court brings daylight into the narrow plan and supports seasonal ventilation, improving comfort and reducing artificial lighting.

We were hired by A' Design Awards, Italy, whom sponsored us to promote this most exceptional award-winning architecture. Higeta Building exemplifies the pinnacle of excellence in architecture, demonstrating exceptional creativity and innovation that naturally commanded attention. Its inherent brilliance made our promotional efforts remarkably effective – the design's outstanding qualities spoke volumes on their own, requiring only minimal exposure to gain widespread recognition. The immediate positive response from industry experts and media alike confirmed what we already knew: truly exceptional design has an innate ability to captivate and inspire.
